Principal Consultant
Khalid has built over two decades of extensive experience in the field of medical affairs and healthcare specifically with a focus on oncology. Most recently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at Mersana Therapeutics since June 2021, Khalid was responsible for leading the global medical affairs function. With a background in oncology and transplantation, he has held key leadership roles in various pharmaceutical companies, including Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Tokai Pharmaceuticals, Algeta ASA, Dendreon, and Sanofi Genzyme. Khalid's expertise includes strategic planning, advisory board leadership, publication planning, medical education, and budget management. He has consistently demonstrated a strong track record in developing and executing medical affairs strategies and tactics, as well as fostering collaborations with key stakeholders and thought leaders in the industry. Khalid's broad experience encompasses roles in academia, clinical pharmacy, and industry roles, highlighting his comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem.

Richard brings more than two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry with a focus on Medical Affairs leadership and strategic insight with expertise in rare disease and oncology. Most recently, Richard served as the Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Mersana Therapeutics, where he supported the development and execution of a global medical launch strategy, field medical planning and deployment, healthcare professional engagement, and operations capability expansion. Prior to this role, Richard held key leadership roles at Blueprint Medicines as Vice President of Global Institutional Collaborations, and as the Vice President and Head of US Medical Affairs and at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Director and Head of Medical Services with oversight of Early Access, scientific communications, publications, medical operations, medical information, and medical training. Richard's expertise includes early access planning and execution, KOL/ external stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, storytelling, and medical operations.
